As a Design Quality Lead within the Silicon Solutions Quality Group at ARM, you will ensure that our designs meet the agreed-upon quality requirements at the various achievements. This includes improving our quality management system (QMS), conducting FMEA / internal audits at the various landmarks, and supervising design quality at various iterations to ensure compliance.
Responsibilities:
Drive quality management system (QMS) improvements working with our silicon solutions operations team.
Internal quality audits and execution.
Facilitate detailed FMEA at each design stage entry assessment (SEA) / Iteration Release Assessment (IRA) and Engineering Change Order (ECO).
Review and signoff quality plan (ex. DFX/Verification/Validation plan match FMEA outcomes) at SEA/IRA and Engineering Change Order (ECO).
Review and signoff quality assessments at various design iterations (start, design, view, release).
Lead ECO (engineering change order), CRB (change review board) and MRB (material review board).
Review and approve external delivery to partners.
Participate to project / platform / program Weekly.
Facilitate and review post-mortem outcomes working with six sigma team (after each project stage and iteration).
Manage post-mortem preventive measures or corrective actions to closure.
Defect/Support Case Triage and tracking with engineering and field quality lead.
Review and approve partner communication on quality issues (Bug Review Committee) with field quality lead.
Required Skills and Experience :
Track record on implementing design quality management system (QMS).
Fundamental understanding of design and metrics for six sigma methods such as IDDOV and to supervise quality.
Broad understanding of design/DFX concepts to reduce DPPM.
Fundamental understanding of relationship between design process and CPU/GPU/SoC quality.
Excellent presentation skills to communicate design quality status both internally (executive management) and externally to customer partners.
“Nice To Have” Skills and Experience :
Strong understanding of steps to realize SoC development including architecture, RTL design and verification, DFX methodologies, physical implementation and packaging.
Effectively working with engineering teams on problem solving, and with partners when needed to make timely decisions on scope and resource.
